Department: Physical Rehab Svcs - Admin

Position is located: Ellsworth Rehabilitation

Work Type: Full Time

Hours Per Week: 40.00

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Summary:

The person filling this position is responsible for reception, scheduling, registration, insurance verification/authorization, coding, referral management and chart management of the Rehabilitation. This individual is vital to the day-to-day operations of the department and acts as the first contact to referral sources and patients. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential to work in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to work as scheduled - attendance, punctuality. (e.g., reliability).
  • Acts as a role model for other employees within the department or organization.
  • Adheres to Northern Light Dress & Hygiene Policy.
  • Maintains and exhibits a professional, positive attitude towards co-workers, work, and organization.

  • Provides excellent customer service, both for internal and/or external customers.
  • Responds to phone calls, voice mail messages, and emails in a timely manner.

  • Works safely and follows all safety policies, reports incidents or hazards immediately.
  • Takes ownership of problems and proactively seeks out solutions.
  • Seeks out ways to reduce operating costs or increase efficiency within role/department.
  • Acts in a cost-conscious manner with regard to use of supplies.
  • Enters charges accurately and timely
  • Collaborates with the Finance and HIM departments to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Understands and complies with regulatory guidelines related to reimbursement

  • Continually develops skills and/or job knowledge.
  • Participates in skills training opportunities available to him/her.
