Description:
Looking for a candidate with a strong background in reading, writing, math and executive functioning instruction to work as a part of our Resource Room team in grades 3, 4 & 5. Training and experience with a variety of evidence based reading programs is preferred. Effective communication skills are required to supervise education technicians, consult with general education staff, work with families and be a collaborative member of the special education team. Knowledge and experience in writing IEPs and other special education paperwork, along with the understanding of state and federal special education regulations is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
Maine DOE Certification Endorsement 282, K-8: Teacher of Children with Disabilities required.
Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC). A copy of your CHRC and CERTIFICATION MUST be uploaded as part of your application to be considered.
