General Summary:

The IT Delivery Manager leads a small to mid-sized team of IT professionals in an Agile environment, driving the delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions that align with business objectives. This role focuses on optimizing team performance, fostering professional development, and ensuring seamless collaboration with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and leadership.Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week at our Portland, Maine campus.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience (preferred).
  • 5+ years of IT experience, including software development or technology, with at least 1 year leading a technical team.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and experience managing Agile teams.
  • Proficient in Agile Project Management, including sprint planning and adherence to best practices.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle to guide technical teams effectively.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills with a focus on addressing skill gaps and team growth.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve obstacles that impact team performance.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to foster innovation and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the team’s overall delivery, ensuring high-quality Salesforce solutions and addressing issues proactively.
  • Maintain and prioritize a clear backlog of valuable work in collaboration with the Product Owner.
  • Lead sprint planning and facilitate smooth, timely releases of initiatives.
  • Remove obstacles to optimize team performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, such as test-driven development, peer reviews, and continuous integration.
  • Use performance metrics to enhance team efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to achieve higher performance levels and career growth.
  • Identify skill gaps and promote cross-training opportunities to strengthen team expertise.
  • Foster a self-organizing, empowered, and collaborative team environment.
  • Regularly review and update development plans for team members.
  • Stay informed about emerging technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Champion Agile values by focusing on delivering high-value business solutions.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$89,400.00-$183,500.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
