Job Description

Windham Middle School is looking for a one year math science teacher to join a two person 6th grade team.

The highly qualified candidate will teach content and skills in math and science utilizing a course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities.

Moreover, the selected candidate will adapt math and science materials and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments which guide and challenge our students.

We’re looking for someone who will encourages students to think independently, develop standards for critical analysis, assess and evaluates students’ progress in math and science skills, communicate with parents in a variety of ways, and participates in curriculum development as well as in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities.

  • Must hold Maine Teacher Certificate and an approved Maine CHRC at the time of hire.
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
