Temporary Senior Technical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Designer to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a parental leave. The ideal candidate will be able to independently handle all technical design responsibilities and contribute to our projects with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop products using our established technical design standards.
• Conduct in-person fittings to ensure product accuracy and quality.
• Work closely with vendors and sourcing teams to ensure successful execution of designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and models using industry-standard software.
• Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure design integrity and compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the development and production phases.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, changes, and updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CLO 3D (training in 3D software will be provided if needed).
• Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule:

• This position requires working from our office in Maine 2 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
