EMMC is offering a FREE Accelerated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course for first-year Nursing, Pre-Nursing students, Pre-Med, or Physician Assistant students!
This is an accelerated training program that will run for four weeks. This excellent program is hosted at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and begins May 12, 2025 with a graduation date of June 6, 2025 . Once students have graduated from the course, they will be placed in a per diem, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, and expected to work 36 hours/week during academic breaks, and four shifts per month while school is in session.
Applications must be received by April 23, 2025 for consideration.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a per diem CNA position at Eastern Maine Medical Center, with the eligibility to receive a $500 sign on bonus upon completion of your probationary period and a pay increase to $21.00 per hour!
***Internal candidates would have to be considered as a promotional advancement from prior position to be eligible for sign on bonus***
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
·Take the CASAS test at Bangor Adults Education and score 239 or higher
·Participate in a pre-admission interview
·Pass pre-employment background check
·Willing to work 36 hours a week while in training and when on school breaks
·Work 4 shifts a month while in school
