Avesta Housing is seeking a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to work in the Independent Living wing of our assisted living facility, 75 State Street. These roles provide high quality care to the residents of the facility that is consistent with procedures outlined by Health Services and the mission of 75 State Street.

Requirements

  • Experience working with the elderly in a personal care environment preferred.
  • Valid PSS certification.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to residents, family, staff, and outside facilities and vendors.
  • Ability to meet facility and state immunization requirements.
  • Commitment to quality services and treating residents with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and portray a positive, team-player attitude.

This is a non-exempt, per diem position. This position will be asked to work Mondays, 3:00pm – 11:00pm, with the potential for other hours throughout the week. The starting pay range for this position is $15.50 - $18.00 per hour.
