We are looking for full time DSP float staff to work with adults with developmental disabilities in our group homes to promote safety, independence, and growth. Many of the clients we serve will require complete assistance with personal care, including showering and toileting.
Float staff are given every other weekend off and can choose a fixed day off during the week. Otherwise, they are required to be available first, second and third shift on work days. Schedules are completed in advance and adequate sleep time is allocated between shifts. This is a varying schedule working differnt days and shifts each week based on our needs.
Float Pool Guidelines:
Rate of Pay: Full Float Pool staff are scheduled first, second and third shift and receive a $4.00-an-hour differential that is added to their base rate of pay. Day Float are scheduled for first and second shifts only and receive a $2.50 differential that is added to their base rate of pay. Base pay is $17.50 to $18.50 per hour.
Guaranteed Hours: Full-time float staff are guaranteed seventy (70) hours per two-week pay period. This guarantee is prorated based on status.
Overtime: Float staff are eligible, but not required, to work overtime hours.
Transportation: You must have access to a reliable vehicle and be able to commute to our group homes in Portland, Scarborough, Westbrook and Windham.
THIS IS NOT A PER DIEM OR ON-CALL POSITION; THIS IS A POSITION OF REGULAR EMPLOYMENT WITH AVAILABILTY TO WORK VARYING SCHEDULES AS NEEDED.
