ProSearch is seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer for an onsite contract role in Augusta, Maine. This programmer will support ongoing maintenance, development, and enhancement of internal applications used for IT planning and budget management. This role plays a key part in supporting application modernization and rationalization efforts. You will work alongside technical and business teams to ensure stable operation and continued improvement of Oracle-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and troubleshoot Oracle APEX applications
Write, review, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code
Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements
Develop and execute detailed test plans
Ensure system performance and scalability by applying strong application design principles
Support application updates and integrations across technical environments
Present technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users
Coordinate with other developers or teams as necessary to meet project goals

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle PL/SQL
Strong background in application design and analysis
Ability to translate business problems into technical specifications and solutions
Demonstrated experience in large, complex system environments
Ability to mentor junior team members or oversee development efforts
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

Experience working on application rationalization initiatives
Familiarity with IT budget management systems
Strong documentation and process improvement skills
