Director - Pharmacy Operations
Under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Director, the role of the Director of Operations is development, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of pharmacy operations. In addition, The Director of Operations is responsible for collaborating with pharmacy and service line leaders to provide an advanced operational model, centered around the needs of our patients. As a member of the Pharmacy Leadership team, the Director of Operations will provide oversight to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. The Director of Operations will also work closely with the Director of Clinical Services in the design financial stewardship programs and measurement of key pharmacy performance indicators. The Director will provide oversight of the acute care clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure an optimal operational model.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Must be a registered pharmacist in the State of Maine or Board eligible.
Advanced degree required - Pharm.D. with Masters degree (i.e. MS, MBA, MHA), and/or residency training (completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 Health-System Residency strongly preferred, completion of ASHP accredited Pharmacy Practice Administrative Residency desirable)
Minimum of 5 years experience in progressive academic health system with at least 3 years in pharmacy leadership preferred.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the health care team, health system and community leaders
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Evidence of leadership in pharmacy practice.
Evidence of expertise and knowledge of pharmacy operations.
