The Westbrook School Department is seeking a Cook at Canal Elementary School
As a cook in our fully equipped kitchen you will be working with one other helper to feed the students in Canal Elementary School. We provide our students with breakfast, lunch and a fresh fruit or vegetable snack daily. We also participate in an afterschool meal program. We are seeking a candidate that has previous cooking in volume experience, preferably also ServSafe certified. The successful candidate will be able to use creativity in their food products tailored to children and provide invdividualized service to our students.
As a small neighborhood school, Canal believes in working collaboratively with families and the community to support all our students. Strong relationships within our school community and with community partnerships enable us to foster academic growth while supporting social, emotional, and basic needs. We customize our instructional practices to best support our population through the inclusion of Title 1, MultiLingual, Special Education, Alternative Learning, Gifted and Talented, and counseling services in our family atmosphere. Through our work with PBIS and BARR we build on student assets and school pillars to cultivate and grow strong connections and caring relationships.
