Falmouth Public Schools is seeking a Network Administrator. The Network Administrator is responsible for identifying network requirements, installation, maintenance and upgrades as well as monitoring network performance. The Falmouth Technology Department is managed as a team environment with a heavy focus on customer service to our teachers and students. All members of the Technology Team are key players in determining the strategy and operation of the technology department. Much of the frontline support is provided by High School Tech Students and all tech staff mentor and train students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain the district’s wired and wireless network infrastructure
  • Manage VLANs, VPN, VOIP, and network-based services
  • Configure and maintain network switches, firewalls, and security appliances
  • Monitor network performance and proactively address issues to ensure uptime and efficiency
  • Support and manage cloud-based filtering
  • Collaborate with other technology staff to develop long-term infrastructure plans

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise networks
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving
  • Network Certification (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA Network+) strongly preferred
  • Maine DOE CRC (fingerprinting) certification
  • Approved background check (run by the district).
