Charles M Sumner Learning Campus is located in beautiful Sullivan, Maine. Our amazing brand new campus is located approximately 15 minutes east of Ellsworth, the county seat of Hancock County, and 40 miles east from Bangor. In addition, we are just a short drive to Bar Harbor and the beautiful Acadia National Park. Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus houses both Sumner Middle School and Sumner Memorial High School. Our total population is approximately 480 students in grades 6 through 12.
We are seeking a team oriented, collaborative, energetic, and creative secondary level science teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position will open until a qualified candidate is located. Candidates should have a solid understanding of instruction and interactive best practices to enhance science learning. In addition, the candidate will be a strong team member, be flexible, have strong instructional and class management skills.
The successful candidate will hold or be able to hold ONE (or more) of the following Maine Department of Education Teacher Certifications: 340M (Science 5-8); and/or 350S (6-12 Physical Science); and/or 395S (6-12 Life Science). In addition, they must hold a current MDOE Criminal History Records Check. Pay is based upon experience and level of education.
