SUMMARY:

District seeks an individual to lead on district-wide initiatives to support individualized assessment, support planning, and lead school teams on their work with students whose needs impact their ability to learn day to day.

This person will need experience working with a variety of student populations including; special ed, alternative ed, general ed, ELL.

Salary: $43,350.73 - $81,769.12 + Stipend (SY25/26)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

  • Management and development of the policies and procedures for non-discriminatory abbreviated school day placements and oversight of their implementation
  • Conducting and analyzing FBAs to assist staff in effectively managing disability-related behaviors, as well as taking the information to determine appropriate programming
  • Working with school teams to create, implement, monitor, and training staff on the use of positive behavior supports
  • Implement and train others to implement evidence based practices to improve the behaviors of concern and teach adaptive skills
  • Develop, monitor, and report on re-entry plans, including plans for targeted skills needed to return to school
  • Monitor students on abbreviated school days, as well as at risk students for abbreviated schooldays
  • Attend IEP meetings
  • Create trainings for building staff and LPS administrators and staff
  • Communicate effectively with LPS administrators and staff
  • Extensive data collection and analysis
  • Report out to (Assistant) Director of Special Education monthly
  • Regularly meet with building special education supervisors and building administrators
