The MSAD15, Adult Education Department, seeks an organized, flexible, high-energy teacher to meet adult learners where they are and help them reach their academic, career, and professional goals.
Adult learners' needs vary from basic reading and math instruction, HiSET preparation, to digital literacy skills to English language acquisition.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience teaching adult learners, be comfortable integrating digital literacy and soft skills into instruction, and teaching in a remote/blended learning environment if necessary.
Those with a love of teaching and a desire to help adults reach their goals are encouraged to apply.
This part time position consists of up to 20 hours of work per week with a potential start date of 8/26/2024.
Applicants who have a MaineDOE ~ Endorsement 660 are preferred; current MaineDOE ~ CHRC certificate is required.
Applicants must have a current Maine Department of Education ~ Criminal History Record Check prior to employment.
