Full job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Accurately transcribe patient prescription requests received through voicemail, portal requests and fax into the electronic medical record for processing
  • Complete prescription requests that fall within InterMed’s Prescription Refill Protocol
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with clinical care teams
  • Collaborate with local pharmacies to clarify questions and/or concerns related to prescriptions
  • Process prescription documents received by electronic fax in accordance with procedure guidelines
  • Call patients to obtain additional information
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Pharmacy Experience and/or clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with EMR/eClinical Works preferred
  • Understanding of HIPAA/Patient confidentiality
  • Medical terminology strongly preferred
  • Pharmacology strongly preferred
  • Ability to type with great accuracy.

SCHEDULE:

Part Time - 10hr Friday and 10hr Saturday (20hr total)
