The primary project will be to collaborate with IT leadership to drive the review and update/creation of essential IT policies. You will play a key role in facilitating communication and coordination between IT leaders and their respective teams to ensure that policies are accurate, relevant, and effectively implemented. You will be responsible for tracking the progress of policy updates across different IT domains, providing regular status reports to IT leadership. This project will further strengthen the organization's overall IT governance and compliance posture.

As a PMO Intern, we will also engage you in various other projects to help you gain further experience as a Project Manager/Scrum Master in a mature IT organization.

  • Assist the assigned project manager with scheduling and coordinating project meetings, including sending out meeting invites, booking meeting rooms, and preparing agendas.
  • Take clear and concise minutes during project meetings and distribute them to the project team promptly.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and issue logs.
  • Track project progress against planned timelines and milestones, and report any deviations to the project manager.
  • Assist with the preparation of project status reports and presentations.
  • Collect and organize project-related data and information.
  • Maintain project files and records in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to the project team as needed.
  • Research industry best practices or emerging trends in project management.
  • Update documentation of existing PMO standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing an Associates degree or above.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with project team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar productivity tools.
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management terminology and concepts (e.g., project scope, deliverables, milestones) preferred.
  • Awareness of the project life cycle and different project phases preferred.
