Our client, a commercial construction finishing company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to add to their team.

The Project Manager controls the time, cost, safety, and quality of projects. They plan and coordinate all aspects including scheduling employees or securing sub-contractors to ensure the timely completion of each project as well as maintaining an exceptional relationship with all general contractors and owners to secure future business.

Job Duties
Inspects work in progress and upon completion for adherence to trade standards and observance of safety regulations and practices.

Consistently monitors work to ensure each employee is performing work in accordance with the highest industry safety standards and with the most productive means possible.

Maintains a variety of files/records/software to provide up-to-date reference and comply with project-specified requirements, regulatory requirements, budgetary requirements, and established guidelines.

Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs for time and material and/or change order work.

Review project plans, specifications, addendums, and alternates to determine the exact scope of work required to safely and complete the project on time and within budget.
Accurately predict work completed and remaining work to complete on a percent complete basis.

Attend required meetings conducted by the General contractor on large job sites.

Work closely with Subcontractors to ensure they are representing the company on all job sites including personal relations and quality.

Review Time and material costing to ensure job budgets are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensuring every employee is working safely and wearing the required personal protective equipment and that all work is being performed according to company and OSHA standards.
  • Accurately reporting project percent completed by job phase code weekly or as needed to reflect current work-in-progress results to the Vice President
  • Ensuring all equipment is accounted for equipment is in a safe operating condition.
  • Training, educating, motivating, and leading employees to ensure the project operates at the highest level of safety, morale, and productivity.
  • Completing projects on time, within budget, and most importantly without sacrificing safety!
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with Clients, Employees and Vendors
  • Keep all job-specific documentation organized, up-to-date and readily available.
  • Ensure all employees are trained or have received proper training before using any equipment and ensure the proper training/certificates are available onsite if required.

The successful candidate will be a forward thinker who has experience within the construction industry and managing projects. OSHA 10 and 30 certifications would be ideal.
They will promote a safety-first attitude and ensure that every employee is wearing the safety equipment required by the company policies and OSHA. They will be able to adapt to changing work priorities/working environments and be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups.

Salary will depend on experience. Benefits include truck, gas card, phone, laptop, medical and dental insurance, STD and LTD, and PTO.
