Maine Primary Care Association (MPCA) is a membership organization that represents the collective voices of Maine’s Community Health Centers (CHCs), which provide high quality, primary and preventive medical, behavioral health, and dental services for 1 in 6 Mainers.

 

MPCA is seeking a Communications and Member Services Manager who will collaborate with MPCA’s Director of Policy, Chief Public Affairs Officer, the CEO, and other program leads to help shape MPCA's brand, amplifying the impact of MPCA as well as member health centers. The person in this role will also support member relations, coordinating events, webinars, and providing other administrative support.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and coordinate content creation, messaging, and storytelling about MPCA for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create, write, assemble, and edit compelling, high-quality content for various communications platforms, including website, social media, newsletters, articles, press releases, organizational announcements, annual report, presentations, and member toolkits.
  • Serve as quality control and provide editing support to ensure organizational consistency.
  • Manage social media initiatives across MPCA platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Assist with webpage updates.
  • Review social media analytics and develop insights for improvement and future communication efforts.
  • Support internal membership services team with the development and creation of member-facing materials reinforcing membership value.

 

Administrative & Member Services Support:

  • Support CEO in development and dissemination of materials to Board members and committee members, including agendas, meeting packets, meeting minutes, and other associated logistics.
  • Support CEO in scheduling meetings.
  • Support CEO and others in development and tracking of member surveys, membership materials development, and ongoing membership engagement.
  • Compile monthly programmatic reports for Board of Directors and other reports as requested.

 

 

Qualification and Experience

 

•     Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

•     3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.

•     Professional, self-motivated, flexible, cooperative, communicative, creative problem solver and committed to social justice.

•     Strong writing and editing skills.

•     Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

•     Experience with content management systems (CMS).

•     Excellent organizational and time management skills.

•     Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•     Experience working in or with a community-centered, health care nonprofit organization a plus.
