  • Position Summary

    • The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for planning and implementing comprehensive speech, language and communication therapy programs, setting goals and objectives, coordinating in-service training programs for Allied Health personnel on the direction of the Department Director, participating in research in speech language pathology and supervising students, clerical workers and volunteers.

    • Work is performed independently under the general clinical direction of the Manager of the Speech Language Pathology Department, and is reviewed for achievement of objectives through reports, conferences and discussions.

    • The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for keeping the Department Manager fully informed of all information regarding the safe, efficient and professional management of the department.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Education: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology (required).

    • License/Certifications: Maine License in Speech Language Pathology (required). Certification in Speech and Language Pathology from the American Speech and Language Hearing Association (preferred).

    • Experience: N/A

    • Meet academic and practicum requirements.
