Schedule: Pool/Per Diem
RN: The Substance Services RN utilizes psychiatric and/or chemical dependency clinical skills as a first line direct patient care provider and as an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. The RN works under the direction of the Nurse Manager and is responsible for delivery of direct patient care to methadone services patients individually, in groups, and in the milieu. The RN also provides supervision for Tech staff in providing services to Methadone Services patients. In doing this the RN not only acts as a role model for other staff members but also provides a professional service. The RN also functions as a leader in teaching technical staff program development, guiding group decision making, implementing plans, and improving quality of care. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse currently licensed in Maine or licensed eligible to obtain. Must have current BLS certification -- which is offered during hospital orientation.
LPN: Responsible for medication management and administration. Must have good communication skills and have the willingness and the ability to function as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Age appropriate nursing care is administered under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Qualified applicant must be a graduate from a credited Practical Nurse Program who is currently licensed in Maine or waiting the Licensure exam.
