The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting the HR Manager in the administration and oversight of the Home’s benefit and personnel matters according to MVH policies and procedures, applicable laws, regulations and standards.
Processes employee new hire, benefit & termination paperwork, assists with new hire orientation, benefit fairs and open enrollment, maintains employee files, manages leaves of absence, tracks and assists department managers with evaluations, absenteeism, counselings, employee licensure verification. Creates memos, presentations, reports and spreadsheets as directed by the HR Manager. Assists with other special projects as requested.
Experience and Skills
- High School diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Working knowledge of Human Resources regulations a plus.
- The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, conscientious and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality a must.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
