The Financial Assistance Counselor provides eligibility assistance to families and individuals regarding health insurance and affordable care programs; including but not limited to, Health Insurance Marketplace, Maine Care, and the health center’s Sliding Fee Scale Program. The Financial Assistance Counselor will follow up with people as needed to assist with successful applications. This position will work under the supervision of the Financial Counselor Manager and in coordination with other outreach and enrollment staff and volunteers. Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Level 3 English is required.
- Knowledge/experience in finance, customer service, or social service is required.
- Knowledge of regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA.
