Job Description
The following is not an all inclusive listing:
1. Works as part of a four person team and plans for and teaches the content and skills in science utilizing a course of study adopted by the School Board.
2. Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and in the procedures of the school district.
3. Adapts science materials and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that guide and challenge students.
4. Selects and requisitions books and aids appropriate to the interest and maturity level of the students and maintains required inventory controls.
5. Encourages students to think independently.
6. Develops standards for critical analysis through group discussions based on a variety of media and materials.
7. Assesses, evaluates, grades, and reports out on the students' progress in science.
8. Communicates with parents.
9. Participates in curriculum development.

Job Requirements
- Must hold Maine Teacher Certificate with endorsement 020 and an approved Maine CHRC at time of hire.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
