Descritpion: Scarborough High School is looking for a school social worker for the first semester of the 2025 - 2026 school year created by a leave of absence.
The social worker would be a member of the Student Services Department which consists of four School Counselors, one Senior Placement Counselor, and five School Social Workers. This position includes counseling and social work services for high school students, including direct services to students with 504 plans and IEPs, case management of 504 plans, attending truancy and meetings, and participating in Student Assistance Team meets, as well as providing support for multilingual learners and students new to the district. The position also includes a duty assignment. Faculty meetings, department meetings, and professional learning teams are all held monthly.
An ideal candidate will:
- Have effective communication and collaboration skills
- Have the ability to work closely with colleagues within the Student Services Department
- Have the ability to work closely with School Administration?.
Qualifications: Licensure as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Clinical Counselor (LCPC) Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC). A copy of your CHRC and CERTIFICATION MUST be uploaded as part of your application to be considered.
