This position is accountable for the management and delivery of consulting services to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other Community Healthcare Organizations. Specific activities will center around project scoping and resource management, ensuring quality work that emphasizes strategy, communication, and impact, and timely delivery while adhering to the budget – all pursuant to evolving client expectations. All work performed shall be in accordance with Wipfli guidelines, policies and procedures.

  • Advise community health organization leaders, including board members and decision-makers, on FQHC compliance, designation, reimbursement, and regulatory issues to ensure adherence to standards and optimize operations.
  • Assess client data in detail to identify patterns, trends, and dynamics, providing strategic insights that address underlying issues and drive impactful solutions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in operational considerations, workforce requirements, and business model dynamics of FQHCs to offer comprehensive and informed guidance.
  • Develop and demonstrate subject matter expertise in specific areas such as finance, compliance, strategy, operations, or fundraising, ensuring this knowledge is highly valued and actionable.
  • Commit to continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Communicate client business issues effectively to regulatory bodies and articulate challenges in a clear and accessible manner to stakeholders.
  • Manage client resources efficiently, informing others about costs, quality, schedule, and risk, and ensuring all work is related back to financial outcomes through detailed reviews.
  • Create project scopes and workplans that address core client concerns, incorporating larger client strategies, Wipfli business needs, and staff development plans, and ensuring complex projects are broken down into actionable steps.
  • Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously, leveraging team members for efficient project delivery, providing on-the-job training, and promoting team autonomy through cross-training, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
  • Contribute to business development by partnering with opportunity leaders, proactively seeking referrals, prospects, and cross-selling opportunities, while applying professional standards and quality control to enhance the team’s best practices and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or above
  • Exposure and comfort with analytics and project management
  • 7+ years’ experience in a professional services firm, healthcare, or equivalent
  • Past work experience in Community Health, especially FQHCs
  • Training, support or consulting advisory experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field, such as MPH, MPA, or MHA
  • History of thought leadership on Community Healthcare topics
  • Relevant certifications, such as PMP, HFMA, CFRE, etc
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements
  • Familiarity with researching federal and state Medicaid and FQHC program requirements

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate’s unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $140,000 to $234,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
