ProSearch is hiring an IT Support Manager on behalf of a confidential client in the IT consulting industry, located in Auburn, Maine. This position is primarily in-office, with occasional remote flexibility.

ProSearch is seeking an IT Support Manager for a confidential client that handles IT services and cybersecurity consulting, serving a wide range of businesses and nonprofits across the region.

In this leadership role, you’ll manage the daily operations of a talented support team while ensuring outstanding service delivery, client satisfaction, and technical excellence. You’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining service quality, guiding team performance, and continuously improving processes that keep clients’ technology running smoothly and securely.

What You’ll Do

As the Support Manager, you’ll lead with both strategy and empathy, balancing team management with direct technical engagement. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage daily service delivery operations and support team activities

  • Coordinate service requests through effective scheduling, prioritization, and escalation management

  • Provide technical guidance to team members and act as a point of escalation for complex issues

  • Ensure SLA compliance and maintain consistent service quality and client satisfaction

  • Develop and refine processes for ticketing, remote monitoring (RMM), and documentation standards

  • Monitor system performance and produce clear reports and metrics for management and clients

  • Support professional growth by mentoring and developing support engineers

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and operations teams to enhance client relationships

  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve service efficiency and customer experience

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise, leadership skill, and a client-first mindset.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment

  • Hands-on use of ticketing systems and RMM tools

  • Strong knowledge of IT applications, software, systems, and infrastructure

  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and lead under pressure

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving results through collaboration

  • Strategic thinking — able to plan and execute over 6–12 months

Education & Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • 3–8 years of relevant IT management or technical support experience

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Primarily in-office in Auburn, Maine, with occasional remote flexibility

  • Occasional local/regional travel to client sites

  • Willingness to work after-hours or weekends as needed for escalations or critical projects

  • Comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
