Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Remote Multi-Specialty Triage Nurse to join our dynamic medical practice. This role involves assessing and prioritizing patient concerns across multiple specialties, providing guidance based on clinical protocols, and ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle diverse patient needs in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct remote triage assessments for patients across multiple specialties, evaluating symptoms and determining the urgency of care.
Utilize clinical guidelines to provide appropriate recommendations, including scheduling appointments, offering home-care instructions, or escalating urgent cases.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
Document triage assessments and recommendations accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and office staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards for patient confidentiality and telehealth protocols.
Stay updated on best practices in telephone triage and telehealth nursing.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Active RN or LPN license (state-specific requirements may apply).
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in triage, emergency medicine, primary care, or a multi-specialty practice.
Previous experience in telephone triage, telehealth, or virtual nursing is highly preferred.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
