Extended School Year Special Education Teacher

RSU5 is seeking caring, enthusiastic and energetic Special Education Teachers for our Summer 2025 Extended School Year (ESY) Program. The ESY program serves eligible students with academic, cognitive, social-emotional and/or adaptive needs, who require an extended program to support maintenance of skills and prevent regression.
Special Education Teachers will be responsible for overseeing and implementing instruction that addresses the goal and objectives outlined by the student’s IEP team. Data collection is required and an ESY progress update must be completed for each student.
The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for managing the classroom programming and schedules for students, Education Technicians, and communicating with families.
ESY will run July 7-July 31, 2025
Monday through Thursday
8:00 – 11:00
ESY Programs will be located at FMS
Requirements:
Must hold a valid Teacher certification from ME Dept. of Education.
