Pay Rate: $23.00/hour

The Opportunity Alliance is seeking Senior Mental Health Direct Care Professionals (Senior Residential Services Technician) to join our Residential treatment teams. Our programs provides trauma-informed treatment and support services to adults living with mental illness complicated by co-occurring chronic health conditions as well as a potential substance use disorder.

The Senior Residential Services Technicians are technical positions that provide direct services in support of the lives of people residing in the program and supporting the employees in the program as well. This is an exciting opportunity for those coming in with experience and looking to grow further. It provides a chance to support and be supported by a well-seasoned, well-trained caring and supportive team and environment.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Providing residents with general support of daily living
  • Supporting treatment goals and overall safety in the residential setting
  • Maintain requirements for MHRT1 Certification
  • Support team of Residential Service Technicians
  • Liaison with facilities management, director, and others as needed
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean, sanitary environment.

These positions attend weekly or bi-weekly program staff meetings and participate in other meetings as necessary.

Work is performed, reviewed, and evaluated under the supervision of the Program Director.

Schedule: Full-Time position for 40 hours/week

Location: Portland, ME.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in mental health preferred.
  • Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check. • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • If MHRT is required for position you must pass CNA registry check
  • If residential or ECE employee must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work. Being over the age of 21 and a good driving record is required.
