TITLE: Community and Home Services Supervisor (CHSS)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Provide community and home support oversight for children and/or adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in assigned area(s). Directly supervise paraprofessional staff and ensure the highest level of service delivery is provided to clients/consumers by paraprofessional staff.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field. Prior experience with children and adult services required. If working with adults, DSP certification must be obtained within 1 year (Regs: 21.18, appendix V and 29.17, appendix IV). Prior experience in a behavioral health or decentralized environment is a plus. (Working with Children BHP requirement must be completed within six months).

SCHEDULE OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is non-exempt.

WORK SCHEDULE/AVAILABILITY: Shift days and times can vary based on the authorization and consumer needs. Day shift – occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must be flexible and cooperative in fulfilling responsibilities and in meeting consumer needs.

EQUIPMENT USE: Professional phone skills; working knowledge of MS Office and databases. Basic computer and tablet knowledge required.
