Long Term Substitute Math Teacher (2189)

Freeport High School

Freeport High School is seeking a long-term substitute Math teacher who will provide rigorous, high-quality instruction and support to our students. Experience with high school teaching is preferred. This position will run from approximately August 26^th through November 3^rd.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree (four year) from an accredited institution.
2. Classroom teaching experience preferred.
3. Completed fingerprinting in accordance with school requirements.

Essential Functions:

1. Ability to create and maintain positive relations with students, school personnel, and parents.
2. Ability to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality instruction and student support.
3. Demonstrates sound judgment and effective communication skills.
4. Ability to be reflective on instructional practices in order to enhance student achievement.
5. Fulfills all performance responsibilities of a Math teacher in a high school setting.

Requirements:

Must hold valid CHRC Certification from the ME Dept. of Education.
Position remains open until suitable candidate is found.
