The Senior Specialist, Market Researcher ensures the successful delivery of quantitative and qualitative primary research projects and their integration into the marketing, business development, and growth operations of the firm, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate primary research projects, including but not limited to planning research strategies and methodologies, drafting research instruments, coordinating all aspects of fieldwork, analyzing data, and developing research and insights reports.
  • Initiate and executes client communication, including consultation to understand research objectives, instrument development, timeline management, and delivery of final data and analysis.
  • Serve as the primary contact/liaison for all vendors associated with the project(s) to include performance, timeliness, and budget constraints.
  • For quantitative research: create high-quality surveys with robust methods to achieve objectives. Select a sampling strategy and build sample frames. Program, test, and field surveys, monitoring partial data for needed adjustments. Develop data processing specs and check toplines, tables, and crosstabs. Prepare final topline data and trends. Review and verify final data. Analyze it and create client reports/presentations.
  • For qualitative research: prepare discussion/interview guides based on established methodological standards to achieve research goals. Conduct and moderate interviews and group discussions. Perform thorough analysis of collected data (including thematic analysis within and across cases) and create client reports and presentations.
  • Ensure spending according to project budget(s), accurate invoicing and timely payment of invoices. Forecast deliverables and spending accurately.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (preferably marketing, statistics, research or a related field)
  • 4-6+ years of research project management experience
  • Data driven and highly detailed oriented
  • Strong knowledge of research methodologies
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Highly motivated and willing to champion new projects

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $80,000 to $108,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
