Emergency Services Technician I/II/III - Per Diem
Summary:
The Emergency Services Technician (EST) plays a crucial role in providing essential support to the healthcare team within the Emergency Department (ED). The EST is responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department. Demonstrates and understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements
Education, Training or Certifications Required:
Level I
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and licensure or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Level II
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current listing on Maine CNA Registry
- Advanced CNA training
- BLS Certification
Level IIB
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a medical assistant program, with national CCMA, RMA or CMA certification.
- BLS certification.
Level III
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently Licensed as a Maine Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced (EMT-A) or Paramedic.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications
Experience Required:
- 1-3 years of emergency room experience preferred not required.
Special Requirements:
- Basic computer skills preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing situations, and work as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for extended periods.
