Math Interventionist (Anticipated)
District
Job Goal(s):
- Provide math support to students in grades K – 5.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to improve overall math achievement.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of current elementary mathematics research and pedagogy.
- Experience differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Strong knowledge of effective MTSS models.
- Proven ability to use data to inform instruction and measure student progress.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other staff.
- Ability to create engaging and effective individual and small group mathematics lessons.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Certifications
- Maine DOE Certification - 020: Elementary Teacher (with concentration in mathematics preferred)
Travel Requirements
- Travel between schools or district buildings may be required.
Reports To: Designated Principal(s)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Master's degree preferred
Experience:
- Teaching experience in elementary education
- Experience working with all facets of MTSS in a school setting preferred
Compensation:
According to the RSU #9 Professional Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement
RSU #9 is an AA/EOE employer.
