Full job description Falmouth High School is seeking a dynamic and innovative full-time Visual Arts teacher starting in the 2025-26 academic year. This individual will teach five sections of student-centered classes in Visual Arts each semester; other full-time faculty responsibilities include serving as an advisor, supporting independent student learning initiatives, and taking an active role in the school community in support of student learning and wellness. Falmouth teachers are expected to engage in ongoing professional learning, authentic collaboration with other faculty and staff, and regular goal-setting and reflection.

The ideal candidate:
  • is passionate about teaching Visual Arts and has genuine concern for students’ academic growth and character development
  • has strong educational background and teaching experience in Visual Arts
  • has a demonstrated history of employing innovative pedagogies that are grounded in strong understanding of adolescent development and learning theory
  • possesses the ability to differentiate instruction and help students master the subject matter despite different skill levels or ages
  • confidently integrates technology to advance education in the classroom
  • prioritizes positive collegial interactions and collaborative relationships with other teachers
  • possesses excellent communication and organizational skills
  • is culturally competent and supports diverse learners

Qualifications:

  • Certification: 620 Visual Arts Endorsement required
  • A district run background check is also required.
