Join our Team! Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking candidates to work per-diem (4-10hrs/week) as Group Facilitators. As the Group Facilitator, you provide group facilitation for the Men’s Domestic Violence Intervention Program.

The mission of the group is to teach men how to identify, challenge, and change their core beliefs that support the use of violence with their intimate partners. These are educational classes following a standardized format to confront abusive behavior and help support a way of thinking and reacting that is free of power and control. DVIP classes are run by two co-facilitators, a male and a female. Classes are held in-person and virtually. They conduct class according to the program’s curriculum, maintaining the program’s standards, and completing appropriate documentation, under the supervision of the Program Coordinator.

The rate of pay for this position starts at $18.80 per hour, and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience. Those with related education and experience are encouraged to apply.
