POSITION SUMMARY: The Nursing Practice Intern is a member of Nursing Administrative team that supports process transformation at EMMC by the CNO and her team with the activities of a project or program. The Intern interacts effectively with supervisory, professional and clinical contacts, and coworkers. The Intern handles sensitive and confidential information and possesses good organizational, coordination, and collaboration skills.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: A BS with matriculation into a master level program from an accredited university or college in health care, business, or related field; or equivalent related experience.
PREFERED EDUCATION: First year Master's Student.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A BS with matriculation into a master level program from an accredited university or college in health care, business, or related field; or equivalent related experience.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE: Publication experience.
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrams, or schedule form.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to learn new software tools as necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to sit and/or stand long periods, light lifting, bending, some walking, hand dexterity sufficient to manage keyboard functions, and visual acuity. Occasional travel will be necessary.
