Rumford Community Home is seeking a Per-Diem Activities Aide to join our team!
Base Pay: $18.00/hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans a goal-oriented activity program to meet the need of each individual resident.
- Coordinates activity plan and schedule with ISP (Individual Service plan).
- Supervises activities, which includes preparations, participation, clean-up, and compliance with safety regulations and complies with DHHS Rules that Govern Level IV Assisted Housing Programs.
- Inform staff, administrator, and residents of the activity plan by personal contact and monthly calendar.
- Advises Administrator of any equipment or supplies needed. Also informs maintenance of equipment that needs to be repaired.
- Directs in-service training that pertains to the activity program.
- Develops plans for independent and group activities for each resident in accordance with his/her needs and interests.
- Reviews ISP activity plans and records progress monthly.
Regulatory Requirements:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Activity Director Certificate preferred.
- 1-2 years’ Supervisory experience in Activity Program or supervisory experience in another setting.
- Must be willing to work with varied diagnosis.
- Must have ability to plan and organize varied recreational activities.
- Must have an understanding of the social, psychological, and recreational needs of residents with varied challenges.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of Regulations for Level IV residential care regulations, especially specifically for activities.
