Full job description
Sanford Middle School is seeking an exceptional educator to join our 6th grade teaching team in a long-term position from September 2nd till January 5th. The primary teaching responsibility will be English Language Arts (ELA), with one instructional block of Social Studies.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative three-person team and should have a strong understanding of the developmental characteristics and instructional strategies that support middle-level learners. We are looking for a team-oriented professional who values innovation and is committed to using best practices to promote both academic achievement and social-emotional growth in students.
Qualifications:
• Experience working collaboratively in a team-based teaching environment
• Knowledge of effective instructional strategies for middle school students
• Willingness to implement innovative, student-centered teaching practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
