Under the direction of the Facility Supervisor, the Stationary Steam Engineer is responsible to furnish and maintain a continuous supply of electricity, steam, water, medical gases, sewage disposal, heating, cooling, and other essential associated services necessary to provide a controlled environment within the facility and accomplish repairs as needed to all fixed and mobile equipment.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- High School, vocational, or GED equivalent preferred, including courses in shop and mechanics, refrigerator/air conditioning, or equivalent. Maine State Licensure as High Pressure Boiler Operator or higher required.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience with operation of high pressure steam boilers tempered with two (2) years experience in a maintenance and repair capacity.
- Valid Maine driver’s license required.
