The Assistant Coach, Men’s & Women’s Tennis will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of planning, developing, and coaching tennis in accordance with the rules and regulations of the University of New England and NCAA Division III. The Assistant Coach will also contribute to the recruitment and development of student-athletes and support programs that provide a first-rate NCAA Division III student-athlete experience.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the operations of the tennis program as directed by the Head Coach, including responsibilities related to teaching and coaching.
- Effectively recruit prospective student-athletes to attend the University of New England.
- Assist with planning and implementing instructional practices that maximize the talent and potential of student-athletes, while instilling values such as sportsmanship, leadership, and personal wellness.
- Function as a collaborative member of the department, working toward common objectives and promoting a positive image of the University. Demonstrate high integrity and ethical behavior.
- Remain knowledgeable of and comply with all University policies, NCAA Division III regulations, and conference requirements.
- Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and a willingness to participate in departmental activities, professional organizations, and cross-campus collaborations (e.g., alumni relations, intercultural affairs, student affairs, institutional advancement).
- Assist the Head Coach with administrative tasks including equipment and uniform inventory, meal arrangements, travel coordination, and facility use scheduling.
- As a secondary administrative duty, contest management responsibilities outside of primary playing season and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; previous collegiate coaching experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and skills.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel extensively as required.
- Previous experience in related field.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
