Title: Radiologic Technology Adjunct Faculty
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: MSEA Adjunct Faculty; $71/per hour
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator, primarily at fifteen (15) clinical sites. Responsibilities involve assisting students with radiographic exams, evaluating their progress, collaborating with clinical preceptors, and ensuring all competencies are achieved. The adjunct faculty member may teach or engage in didactic courses at the discretion of the Program Director. Additional responsibilities include instructing, evaluating, and advising students; participating in program meetings, assessments, and accreditation processes; reviewing and updating course materials; coordinating with faculty to support student advancement; and contributing to achieving program goals. The schedule may involve daytime, evening, and online classes, requiring an approximate commitment of 10 hours per week, depending on the program's needs.
Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, current ARRT certification in radiography, a valid ME license, a minimum of two years of radiography practice experience, and at least one year of clinical instructor experience in a JRCERT-accredited program. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge in course development, instructional methods, evaluation, and academic advising. Essential qualities include demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively guide students and collaborate with clinical affiliate sites, clinical instructors, and students. Additionally, the individual must remain current in knowledge, expertise, and competence within the radiographic profession.
