Summary

Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Practice Operations is a leadership role with MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG) and oversees the clinical activities and professional growth and development of the registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and all non-provider clinical staff to ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements at ambulatory sites in the health system’s southern region.

The Director collaborates with both provider and operational leaders to develop standard protocols to meet the needs of patients in MHMG ambulatory clinical settings. This role will have oversight of compliance of regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission and State of Maine. The Director will support practice operations and administer efficient delivery of patient care, clinical competence, and financial responsibility.

This role will dedicate time at both South Portland and Biddeford, Maine locations.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

2. License/Certifications: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine

3. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in outpatient practice or ambulatory care setting; demonstrated leadership experience

4. Working knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards, RHC, and state regulations

5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

6. Ability to prioritize and multitask in an efficient way for both self and others

7. Collaborative leadership style

8. Basic computer knowledge and experience with an electronic medical record (EMR)
