· Removing and installing old/new systems
· Performing routine maintenance and diagnostics.
· Inspect high-pressure, air, steam, water, and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions.
· Measure, cut, thread, bend, ream, and install pipe and pipe fittings.
· Maintains and repairs plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems.
· Reviews blueprints, building codes or specifications to determine work details and procedure.
· Trains qualified junior team members and holds supervisory licenses for qualified technicians.
· Communicating with team and vendors.
· Proper personal protective equipment shall be utilized
· Seeking out needed information by staying informed and involved by attending meetings, reading memos, policies, meeting minutes, newsletters, email and other appropriate information in a timely manner.
· Completes other maintenance tasks assigned through the work order system.
· Ordering and maintaining equipment, parts and supplies.
· Meeting all local HVAC/Plumbing codes.
· Maintains accurate documentation of service calls and time management through the work order system.
· Submits all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
· Following safety policies and procedures.
· Abiding by all company standards of performance and code of ethics.
· Other duties as assigned that are relevant to the position or department.
· Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all internal and external customers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· You must have a minimum of five years of verifiable HVAC/Plumbing experience in residential or commercial service and maintenance operations.
· Must obtain state of Maine Boiler Operators License within one year of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must obtain certification in back flow operations within one year of employment.
- State of Maine Master License for HVAC/Plumbing
- Knowledge of local and national HVAC codes.
- Available to work all shifts. Shifts are subject to change according to the needs of the department.
- Ability to climb ladder and to perform tasks up to and above ceiling height.
- Ability to perform tasks at ground level.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
· Basic change order cost-estimating experience.
· Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND ENVIRONMENT
Clinical: Frequently lifts over 50 pounds independently. Frequently pushes/pulls 100 pounds using mechanical and other assistive devices. Walks, stands, kneels, bends most of the time. Exhibits fine motor skills and manual dexterity necessary to perform the essential job functions of the position. Color vision is necessary. Normal hearing acuity.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
- Maintains current knowledge of the hospital-wide Quality Improvement Program.
- Collaborates with management to improve the effectiveness of the department through the Quality Improvement plans and processes.
- Participates in the departmental and hospital-wide Quality Improvement activities as directed by the manager.
