Andwell Medical Partners, the multi-specialty Medical Group of Andwell Health Partners, is launching an Audiology Service Line. The initial practice is in Lewiston, with additional sites of care being launched at a later date. With cutting-edge technology and a state-of-the-art facility, we empower our patients to re-connect with the world around them, and we’re looking for an Audiology Assistant to join in our mission! This Audiology Assistant will work closely with The Clinical Director of Audiology, team of Audiologists, and Associate Director to grow this new service line from the ground up.
What You’ll Do:
- Preparing exam room(s) and equipment for scheduled appointment type.
- Assist with hearing devices and assistive/associated technology orientation and routine maintenance post-fitting and/or repair.
- Intake hearing devices/associated technologies to prepare for audiologist to dispense to patient.
- Assist with clerical duties (e.g., order/stock clinic materials and supplies, recordkeeping, etc.)
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on hearing devices/associated technologies, earmolds, and accessories.
- Conduct audiologic screening measures (e.g., hearing screenings.)
- Opportunity to grow with the practice (advance to higher levels of responsibility as the service line grows and expands.
What You’ll Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in an outpatient health care setting required.
- Bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders OR health-related field preferred.
- Audiology Assistant and/or Hearing Instrument Specialist Certification preferred.
- BLS Certification within the first 90 days of hire (available at Andwell for free).
