Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 18-years-old.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (HiSET, GED, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license.

Training & Schedule

Begin your career with confidence through paid, on-the-job training (OJT) and state certification:

  • Pre-Academy OJT à New Staff Orientation à Basic Corrections Training à 80-Hour OJT à Certified Correctional Officer
  • Training phase: 8-hour shifts, Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Post-training: 12-hour shifts (6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m. depending on facility needs)
    • Week 1: 3 days on / 4 days off
    • Week 2: 4 days on / 3 days off
    • Half the year off — with no mandating on your days off!
