L.L. Bean is currently searching for a Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing to join our B4B team. We welcome the opportunity for this role to be hybrid based at the corporate headquarters in Freeport, Maine. In this important role you will lead marketing and sales strategies related to driving the growth of L.L.Bean’s B4B channel.
Responsibilities include developing, managing and implementing Marketing and Sales strategies that build incremental sales, profit and customer file growth, managing and developing the Marketing and Sales teams to prioritize and structure work that delivers against channel performance goals. You will also be accountable for achieving channel sales, margin and brand positioning goals.
Position Purpose: Responsible for developing, managing and implementing Marketing and Sales strategies that build incremental sales, profit and customer file growth for the B4B Channel. Manage and develop the Marketing and Sales teams to prioritize and structure work that delivers against channel performance goals. Accountable for achieving channel sales, margin and brand positioning goals.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan and direct the development and execution of B4B Marketing and Sales plans. Annual Demand plan of $47M.
- Develop and communicate strategic Marketing and Sales plans to Sr. Leadership with focus on top-line and bottom-line growth for the channel.
- Collaborate with and influence key cross-functional partners to achieve B4B Marketing and Sales goals.
- Develop and manage the execution of online marketing, email and search strategies for the channel. Responsible for growing digital sales and developing strategies for digital growth.
- Directs the execution of tactical aspects of the B4B marketing plan, including circulation planning and reporting, website content, promotions development, and evaluation and results reporting of all marketing initiatives.
- Build comprehensive Sales and Outreach strategy, leveraging CRM capabilities.
- Directs analytical work in establishing and reporting on performance metrics for buyer file counts, ROI, catalog response rates and overall customer value.
- Oversee all aspects of the Marketing and Sales budgets including catalog, advertising and promotional expenses. $4.5M Selling Expense budget.
- Identifies customer target markets and new business opportunities that support sales growth and brand alignment.
- Responsible for understanding the synergies between the channels of distribution and optimizing the growth and retention of the customer file.
- Provide high level direction to the sales team on approaches to sales situations, contract negotiations, and parameters for servicing large/complex orders.
- Manage the development of product/service presentations for new high-value customers.
Manage the B4B Sales & Marketing Team
- Provides a motivating environment in which to mentor and develop staff through the establishment of performance objectives, clear and frequent communication, and coaching training and fair administration.
- Make/review employee decisions.
- Establish performance objectives, assign work, monitor workload and appraise performance.
- Assist employees in identifying personal develop and career needs, providing guidance and support on these issues.
