The Department of Business at the University of New England seeks applications for adjunct lecturers to teach to teach courses in economics and management during the Fall 2019 semester. All courses meet on UNE’s Biddeford campus.

Teaching assignments may include:
Microeconomics (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00-3:20 pm). This course focuses on the interactions of individual economic agents, consumers, producers, and governments to determine how decisions are made for resource allocation within a society. Topics covered include supply and demand models, perfectly competitive markets, market imperfections, monopolies, and market behavior.
Macroeconomics (Mondays and Wednesday, 8:00-9:20 am). This course explores how economic activity can be influenced by government intervention through the implementation of fiscal and monetary policy. Topics covered include gross domestic product, unemployment, interest rates, inflation and exchange rates in both the short and long run.
Management (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-10:50 am). This course covers history of management thought and practices, and contemporary management theories. Primary emphasis is placed on the functions of management.
A master’s degree in economics, business, or a related business field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred. College teaching experience is required; 3-5 years of college teaching is preferred. Industry experience is also preferred.
