Job Title: Analyst – Accounts Payable (General Administration)

Location: Portland, ME (Canco Rd); Orange, CT.

Work type: Office

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $56,120 to $77,165.

Job Summary

Performs accounts payable processes and activities with direction and supervision. Performing transactional activity in the scope of Accounts Payable which may include support of

payment processing, vendor maintenance, researching and resolving invoice discrepancies or issues, processing vendor invoices and supporting the Accounts Payable staff. Responsible for invoice booking and acceptance of invoices for all Avangrid companies using Opentext VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) in the AVANGRID SAP platform in a volume driven environment. Processing invoices in electronic workflow returned from internal business representatives which require additional actions before being posted for payment.

Responsibilities:

  • Meets deadlines and targets in the accounts payable area adhering to established accounting policies of the organization.
  • Processing transactional activity which requires self-review and verification with a high level of accuracy and volume.
  • Follows and adheres to the Administration Model in compliance generally accepted business practices.
  • Provides support to both internal and external customers.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience Required:

  • Associates degree with minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience (Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration preferred) OR High School diploma and 7+ years of related experience.
  • 1-3 years if accounting experience (knowledge of procure to pay processes desired).
  • Working knowledge of the mainframe accounting systems (SAP ERP systems desired).
